The YMCA of Ithaca & Tompkins County is spearheading an amazing initiative. One of the Y’s goals is to develop strong and healthy communities...but where to begin? What is the best way to create a Y community buzz? For starters: we want every 1st grader in the Tompkins and surrounding counties to be a member at the Ithaca Y. What is the best way to accomplish that, you ask? Give them a FREE membership! That’s right, any first grader who comes to the YMCA of Ithaca will receive a FREE Youth Membership, which won’t expire until August 2013 (WOW - that’s a $100 value!!).
